The here and now
I am also joining in the 30 posts in 30 days challenge posed on Libraries Interact. It all kind of exploded on Twitter today.
This post was in draft and has been sitting there for a while. Hopefully blogging every day for 30 days will elicit some quicker reflections.
It is often easiest to look backwards or forwards. I’m the first to do it- I like to look back at 10, 20, 30 years ago, celebrate milestones – it’s a big part of life.
Seems that sometimes the hardest place to be is in the here and now, because it’s the immediate stuff that you have to deal with.
Perspective, hindsight and experience are all wonderful things but sometimes quick and (with that …occasionally feisty?) is good too.
Just off the phone to dad- he started a series of 39 radiotherapy treatments today. The prognosis is good, very good. He is a fit and active 80 year old with a pretty good attitude to life. In fact after today’s treatment he went home and played chess with a few mates (and lost all five games).

Glad to hear it went well.
Good to hear about your Dad… happy today went well for him.
Hope all goes well with your dad- hopefully his chess game will improve…
We have so much to learn from the older generation. Let’s hope Generation Y understands tht one day. All the best to your dad
