Snowballs in spring!
Our garden has had a couple of years of serious neglect. The whole drought, water restrictions thing put me off and we just stopped watering and caring for most plants when we decided to embark on our crazy demolish/rebuild. The footprint of the house isn’t that much bigger – but it takes over different parts of the block and there is building access and of course the demolishing and rebuilding will also *impact* on the garden.
We have done a little bit of transplanting in anticipation of all of this – the Manchurian Pear Tree has been moved along with a few other smaller plants like the everlasting daisy.
This week, along with the piano going on an extended loan while we rent, I’ve taken a few photos of plants around the garden. The garden looks a bit rubbishy with overgrown plants and weeds but there are the most delightful smelling flowers out now -jasmine, wisteria, the lemon banksia rose (not the yellow- it doesn’t smell), and lavender. And the ’snow-ball’ bush (not sure of it’s name) is about to explode, as did the white azalea a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway- a few photos to enjoy, as some of them won’t be around for much longer…
